Jewelry with Meaning

The most important things to you in life are often not the materialistic things or based off what cost the most money but are things that have a special meaning to you. For me it’s my Huayruro necklace. My grandmother gave it to me when I was younger right before we moved. She told me that it was from Peru and that it was known to ward off negative and bring about good fortune. She said that it was given to her by her mother and she has worn it ever since. Not only does this handcrafted necklace share the story and traditions of Peru but it is also filled with the love of my grandmother and my families past. I hope one day to be able to pass it on in the same way.
