Kitchen Designs- Ideas for a Country Kitchen

One of the favorite American kitchen design is the country style. Country style kitchens mostly center on the light or dark wood theme. The tables, chairs and countertops are usually made of pine wood or dark oak. To give it that old country feel, checkered red and white curtains adorn the windows and upper frame of the kitchen door.  The same fabric design is used as tablecloth for the dining table. Iron cast pots and pans are the usual equipment in this type of kitchen. The kitchen island which is usually at the center of the kitchen has an iron rack hanging over it. This is where the pots and pans and other utensils for cooking are placed for easy access.
