I have a friend that can play just about any instrument known to man.  He is a talented musician, but he has an ego that don’t quit.  I remember about a year ago he tried to play blues guitar and failed miserably.  He explained that he failed because it is really hard to play the blues.  You have to be born with the talent is what he told me.  I am having a great time right now.  I am taking an online study course and am learning to play acoustic blues guitar.  I can hardly wait until I have the chance to play something for him.

Last month a friend of mine got a really nice tattoo. It is like nothing that I had ever seen before. It got me to thinking about getting a tattoo myself. I have been thinking about it off and on for a while now but have never really felt a strong desire, until now. I am interested in looking at pictures of tattoos to get some ideas. My friend said that she found her tattoo right on the Internet so I am going to start my search there. If I find something that I really like, I think I will go ahead with it.

We are new in town and since I have two small children it is all I can do these days to keep up with doctor appointments, preschool commitments and church obligations. The Independence Day parade is a huge event in our small town. There’s always a huge crowd and we get there early to make sure we get a good spot. It’s very traditional and there’s always fun for the whole family. You’ll see horses, floats, fire trucks and dance groups. Businesses throw candy and walk the parade route handing out brochures for anything from dance lessons to a cheap electric guitars website. Jerden just came in and caught me off task. I was watching this really weird music video. It was a take off of Animal Farm, which didn’t really have anything to do with the song. Seemed really familiar though. I could swear I’ve seen something like that before.

Anyway, it was the typical “looks like somebody doesn’t have enough to keep him busy” speech. I tried to explain that since I don’t smoke, this is how I spend my break time. I bet if you add up all the smoke breaks Ken takes in one day, and then add up all the breaks I take to fool around on the Net the entire week, he’s gone longer than I am.

Maybe I should take up smoking.

Last week I was invited to a wedding that I thought was going to be the most boring thing I’ve ever attended.  I think that weddings in general tend to be a bit bland.  But these two people getting married are some of the most boring people that I have ever met.  So taking all of that into consideration I just assumed the worst.  However, because of a wedding magician that they hired we had an amazing time.  Everyone was laughing like crazy and it made the wait between the ceremony and the reception tolerable.  I would do that again in a heartbeat.
